I was really happy for my brother when he started football. Kind of like a parent who lives through their children, I wanted to be wholly included in his Pop Warner career.

On the day of his first game, he dressed up in his new uniform in my bedroom. My parents waited for him in the living room. I wanted to announce him like they did on TV, by calling out his name and number and having him run out into the living room in full gear. I don't think I ended up doing it.

Again, no reason for this one. Just getting it out as it comes.
